The Infernus bullet is a form of ammunition reverse-engineered from the Firecons' natural abilities. It is designed to penetrate Cybertronian armor and reach the spark, causing the victim to burn up from the inside out.

Decepticon scientists on Varas Centralus used the Firecons as a template for creating the Infernus bullets. The bullets were considered a war crime, and Sandstorm and the Wreckers fought to prevent them from being used in active combat situations. Quest for Fire
