Lightlong

Lightlong is an Energy Beast from Wild King.

Lightlong (ライトロング Raitorongu) is an eternally curious resident of the planet Elementros. The first to meet Optimus Prime, Lightlong was able to awaken a power with the larger Transformer to face the threat of Megatron.

Possessing Lightning Energy that gives power over thunder, Lightlong is an Energy Beast that can undergo wildocking with an Energy Master.

Lightlong first encountered Optimus Prime while the latter was driving through a forest in vehicle mode, a form Lightlong was impressed he could assume. He was quickly informed about his mysterious friend's background: he wasn't native to Elementros, and was looking a friend...who turned out to be a hostile Megatron, who had performed Wildocking with Dinosaur Tribe Leader Captain Volca to form Flame MegatronOn to Elementros! and attacked them both, Optimus barely deflecting a Flame Energy Shot that would have destroyed them both. After Optimus takes a beating from Flame Megatron, Lightlong offers to undergo wildocking with him, which the Autobot Leader obliges to. Combined as Lightning Optimus, the duo send Volca's henchman Leafback packingThe Power of Bonds! Wildocking! and put up a strong fight against Flame Megatron, during which Lightlong tells Optimus of a prophecy on the planet that a legendary hero would descend from the sky, and, wielding all 5 forms of elemental energy, wield a blade that would destroy all evil...though Flame Megatron combined with Leafback into Flame-Grass Megatron, who's combined energy attack would have destroyed them bothThe Hero Who Descends from the Sky!, if not for him transforming in time to carry Optimus away.

Lightlong takes Optimus to a nondescript cave on Elementros, home of his good friend Hydrophant. He learns from the elephant Energy Beast that Drillnohorn hasn't been heard from for a while, and he and Optimus cause Hydrophant to meltdown after failing to properly address the conflict started with the Dinosaur Tribe in a way the sensitive elephant could handle, and they're forced to chase him outside the cave, where they meet the mysterious Spirituan of the Dinosaur Tribe and Ignite Leo of the Animal Tribe, the latter of whom Lightlong was confused about their partnership.The Kindhearted Hydrophant

Part of the first wave of Wild King product, Lightlong transforms into a robotic giraffe. He can also transform into an arm or a leg extension for any Energy Master toy. He has an electric-themed "Lightning Energy" breastplate, which can be detached and re-attached to one of the four ports on the chest of the Energy Master torso, forming part of a large elemental "X". A chunk of his beast-mode back detaches to form a pickaxe-like melee weapon.

He shares several "core" parts with other Energy Beasts: he has the same torso and thighs as the other three in the wave, and shares biceps with Captain Volca.

• "Lightlong" (ライトロング) is a pun on "lightning" (ライトニング), the Elemental Energy he carries. In the cartoon, he often uses the first syllable as a verbal tic when he talks.
