Alpha Trion entrusted the "cursed sword" to Skyfall, who he claimed had the mental fortitude to withstand its subversive programming. Transcendent: Part 3 Ultimately, this turned out to be a ruse to gain the Autobot's trust, as Alpha Trion revealed himself to be the truly evil one and used that same sword to kill Skyfall by thrusting it through his spark.
