::::I dunno.  "Archetype" calls to mind such things as "the hero", "the villain", "the sidekick", "the traitor", "the loner", "the smart one", etc., rather than specific characters who are pan-continuity constants. --[[User:Sabrblade|Sabrblade]] ([[User talk:Sabrblade|talk]]) 18:53, 19 June 2025 (EDT)

Revision as of 22:53, 19 June 2025

As was pointed out, "concept characters" kind of sounds like characters exclusively from concept art or something. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm not sure there's a good, concise way of conveying the idea, but I like "Cross-continuity concept characters" - if nothing else, it prompts people to click on the category to find out what it actually is. --Broadside (talk) 16:53, 19 June 2025 (EDT)

This is a good note but I do worry bringing something as general as "multi-continuity" into it risks muddying the concept. Let's see, if we need something clinical with minimal wiki jargon... "Brand backstory characters?" Maybe? --AzimuthAcolyte (talk) 17:59, 19 June 2025 (EDT)
