War for Cybertron: Earthrise

  • Micron Micromasters (Galactic Odyssey Collection, 2021)
Part of the Encounter 2 set of the Earthrise Galactic Odyssey Collection, representing Micron, Windstorm is a redeco of Hot Rod Patrol leader Daddy-O, and transforms from a robot into a hot rod reminiscent of a Chevrolet Bel Air. Windstorm can combine with Stingracer to form a handheld weapon, but as the duo are from opposing factions, this would be a very strange story presentation.
Notably, the product description for Windstorm explicitly states that their vehicle mode is an homage to Kenner's [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}M.A.S.K.|{{#if:||M.A.S.K.}}]] vehicles—specifically, the turquoise hot rod Hurricane. Like Stingracer, who is likewise an homage to the M.A.S.K. vehicle Stinger, Windstorm doesn't feature any faction insignias.
Windstorm is part of a six-pack exclusive to Amazon in the USA, bundled with fellow Autobots Fireguard and Roadburner, and Decepticons Stingracer, Runner, and Motorhead. Despite being labeled as "Encounter 2" in the Galactic Odyssey Collection, this was the third set to be officially revealed.
