Dashtacker is a two-Autobot Multiforce member from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
"My card art looks surprisingly like a cassette-bot!"

Dashtacker (ダッシュタッカー Dasshutakkā) is the combined form of the Autobot Multiforce members Dash and Tacker, forming a red-hot and hardy warrior. Dash's impulsive nature and Tacker's military plotting merge into a robot who bides his time, then explodes into action. Able to combine his components' solar-power and magma-manipulation abilities, his "Multi Turbo Fire Attack" shakes the earth as it melts down its target.

Dashtacker served aboard the Sector One base of the Galactic Defense Forces under the Brainmaster Car Trio. He got offended at the idea that his boss, Wingwaver, might be left on Planet V while the rest transferred to Earth. He went so far as to shout this at Star Saber who quickly pointed out that, before he was so rudely interrupted, he was including Wingwaver in the transfer. Everyone except Dashtacker thought it was quite a laugh. During a search mission in the Amazon, Tacker got stuck in the mud which helped reveal the Autobot position. Big oops.

Micromaster

[edit]

After stumbling into the past through a dimensional rift, Dash, Tacker, and the rest of the Multiforce joined forces with the Autobots from the local timeframe. Dash and Tacker combined into Dashtacker to take on Decepticon Sixbuilders, but struggled with fending off the Decepticons when Berserker Sixwing joined the fight. Dashtacker then separated into his components so that they could recombine into Landcross and defeat the more formidable opponent. The Menace of Landcross's Combining Formation!

Victory comic

[edit]

After receiving an S.O.S. from the Earth, Star Saber had Dashtacker, Wingwaver and Machtackle join him in battling the Decepticons causing trouble there. They battled Dinoking as Landcross. So Cool! Our Ally, Star Saber!

When Star Saber was alerted that Leozack was terrorizing the Earth, he left Dashtacker, Machtackle, and Wingwaver stationed at the Galaxy Shuttle while he dealt with the situation himself. Leozack's Rampage!

Dreamwave Generation One continuity

[edit]

Dashtacker was one of several angry Autobots who were sick of listening to Prowl on Cybertron, after the overthrow of Shockwave. Luckily, Ultra Magnus was there to quiet down the mob, giving Prowl a chance to go off and get drunk with Ironhide. Skyfire

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

[edit]

  • Dashtacer [sic] (Multiforce, 1989)
  • ID number: C-317
  • Accessories: "Multi-Dash Gun", "Multi-Tacker Gun", "Punch Part A" Landcross right fist, Landcross footplate
  • Known designers: Kōjin Ōno (TakaraTomy){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Dashtacker is the combined mode of the individuals Dash and Tacker, sold together in a two-pack in the Victory portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline. Dash forms the top half of the combiner, while Tacker forms the lower. He can also be swung around into "Tackerdash" mode, with a new Tacker-dominant head revealed in this form. Of course, the two individuals can also combine with any other member of Multiforce in similar fashion.
Dashtacker also forms limbs to the team's combined Landcross mode; their nominal placement is with Dash as the right arm and Tacker as the right leg. When swapping limb-bots around, care must be taken with whoever's in leg form; Dash needs to be paired with Mach and Tacker with Tackle, otherwise Landcross will have some very lopsided legs. Theoretically Dashtacker can form Landcross's torso (as they all share the same general engineering and transformation scheme), but they lack the necessary connections to attach limb-bots or super robot armor.
Dashtacker came with a pair of cards, each featuring bio and battle info for the pairing.
In 1995, the three Multiforce two-packs were released in mainland China as part of the severely-delayed Hasbro-distributed Chinese Transformers toyline. They came in slightly-modified versions of their original packaging, with the characters' names now written in Chinese, and the Japanese Transformers logo replaced with a similarly styled Chinese language logo saying "Battles of Victory" (胜利之斗争). They toys themselves are also slightly modified, with their molded-on legal/manufacturing information blotted out and modified to remove Takara's name.

  • Landcross (Gift set, 1989)
  • ID number: C-319
  • Accessories: "Multi-Dash Gun", "Multi-Tacker Gun", "Punch Part A" Landcross right fist, Landcross footplate
  • Known designers: Kōjin Ōno (TakaraTomy){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Dashtacker was also available in a gift set containing the entire Multiforce team. All of the toys in this set are physically identical to their individual releases.
However, this set does not include the bio/trading cards for any of the component duos, only the combined Landcross mode.

Micromaster

[edit]
  • Dash (DX Micromaster, 2004)
  • Multiforce number: 3
  • Accessories: "Multi-Dash Gun", "Punch Part A" Landcross right fist
  • Tacker (DX Micromaster, 2004)
  • Multiforce number: 4
  • Accessories: "Multi-Tacker Gun", Landcross footplate
Takara re-released Multiforce in the final wave of Micromaster, as "DX Micromasters". Dashtacker was never sold as a "complete" robot; you had to separately-purchase his individually-boxed components Dash and Tacker. The boxes have a small hole in the front to show a number printed on the instructions, revealing which toy is inside.
These toys have slight deco differences from their original releases, see the individual components' pages for further details.

  • Dash Stealth Mode (DX Micromaster, 2004)
  • Multiforce number: 3
  • Accessories: "Multi-Dash Gun", "Punch Part A" Landcross right fist
  • Tacker Stealth Mode (DX Micromaster, 2004)
  • Multiforce number: 4
  • Accessories: "Multi-Tacker Gun", Landcross footplate
Both individuals were also available as all-black "stealth mode" chase figures, with two randomly-chosen boxes per case of twelve toys replaced with the chase versions. And no, you can't peek in through the hole in the box to see if it's a chase or not, as the instructions block it off.
