Grudge was a friend of Cyclonus before meeting his untimely demise. He likely died by being melted.

A friend of Cyclonus, Grudge was killed during the War of the Threefold Spark.The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part One During peacetime, Cyclonus developed a coping mechanism by conversing with the hallucinatory "ghosts" of Grudge, Highfire, Gridlock, and Provoke while taking solitary vigil at Memorial Crater. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Four During Cyclonus' encounter with Flamewar, Grudge's ghost manifested itself and remarked on Flamewar's choice of weaponry.The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Two

Grudge was present alongside Cyclonus to witness the ruins of the Memorial Crater, which had been desecrated under Sixshot's orders, commenting on Cyclonus’s mental state. The Change In Your Nature Part Five He subsequently accompanied Cyclonus on his hunt for Sixshot, remarking that the incoming fight would be very satisfying as he entered the Decepticon Headquarters. War World: Hunt

When Provoke was supposedly discovered alive, Grudge conferred with the other ghosts of Cyclonus’s squadron on her unusual behavior, noting strange coincidences between the behaviors of Provoke and Ruckus. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part Two During Cyclonus’s confrontation with Provoke outside of the medical center, he witnessed the ensuing fight and expressed that her revival might have been due to Exarchon, though he remained skeptical until Provoke’s spark, and Exarchon with it, was destroyed. Grudge briefly appeared as Cyclonus approached Megatron’s headquarters with the evidence of Exarchon’s revival. War's End Part One He reappeared at the Sonic Canyons, after Cyclonus’s near-death experience with Onslaught. He agreed with Gridlock that the best course of action was to not wait around with the others and go to kill Exarchon in lieu of more extensive planning, even with the Constructicons combined within the canyons, a fact he noted would not change no longer how long they waited. War's End Part Three

Upon the death of Exarchon by Cyclonus’s actions and the end of the War of the Threefold Spark, Grudge was finally let to rest, dismissed by Cyclonus as his ghost faded away one last time. Fate of Cybertron
