*First mentioned in passing in the pages of Transformers: Exodus as a sigil worn on Sentinel Prime's belt, the badge is never physically described. The connection is never made in any sources, but presumably, it was meant to be the original Autobot insignia, in a callback to the original Transformers: Cybertron incarnation of Vector Prime, whose face was based on the Autobot badge (the implication being that his visage had inspired the emblem in that continuity). The idea of the Badge of Vector Prime being a symbol of hope for Cybertron fits with the idea that it would eventually become the insignia of the planet's heroes.

The meeting of Vector Sigma and Alpha Trion, where the Badge was given to Alpha Trion. Not seen: The Badge of Vector Prime.

The Badge of Vector Prime was an artifact and a symbol of the space-time guardian's power.

Fiction

The Covenant of Primus

The Badge of Vector Prime was worn by Vector during the Expulsion of Unicron and the following Age of Primes. It is unknown whether the badge had powers of its own, but Alpha Trion recalled seeing it often adorning his brother's armor.

During the Age of Rust, Alpha Trion journeyed to a node of Vector Sigma to try and find some means of rekindling the spirits of Cybertron's population. He hoped for the Matrix of Leadership itself, but Vector Sigma could not bestow that gift upon him. Instead, Vector Sigma turned over the Badge of Vector Prime to Alpha Trion.

Alpha Trion gave the Badge to Sentinel Zeta Prime, in the hopes that it would spur the elected Prime into activity. Although he wore the artifact, it seemingly did nothing to change Sentinel's ways, and may have even acted as a confirmation for Sentinel to stay the course. The Covenant of Primus

Notes

 • First mentioned in passing in the pages of Transformers: Exodus as a sigil worn on Sentinel Prime's belt, the badge was not physically described. The connection wasn't stated, but presumably, it was meant to be the original Autobot insignia, in a callback to the original Transformers: Cybertron incarnation of Vector Prime, whose face was based on the Autobot badge (the implication being that his visage had inspired the emblem in that continuity). The idea of the Badge of Vector Prime being a symbol of hope for Cybertron fits with the idea that it would eventually become the insignia of the planet's heroes. Eventually The Transformers One Sourcebook would establish it having been the basis for the Autobot insignia.
