| The name or term "Hot Rod" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Hot Rod (disambiguation). |
- Hot Rod is an Autobot from the EarthSpark continuity family.
Hot Rod was left on Cybertron after the Autobots on Earth destroyed the space bridge. Seeing no other way to survive, and despite his moral consciousness, he ended up working for the Liege Maximo.

- Voice actor: Eric Bauza (English), Maurício Berger (Brazilian Portuguese), Arthur Pestel (French), Olin Garcés (Latin-American Spanish)
Notes
- Hot Rod's depiction in EarthSpark of being a reluctant antagonist who is at odds with his Optimus Prime seems to evoke a lot of Energon Rodimus, in addition to also having a very deep voice.
- Hot Rod’s portrayal as a reluctant follower of a system he knows is flawed while trying to do as much good as he can from the inside also bears more than a little resemblance to his portrayal in Beast Wars: Uprising.
