The original Megatron takes over the Tera-Kura Co.

Synopsis

Megatron is taking interviews for new employees for the Tera-Kura Co. when a tank comes crashing through the wall and transforms into a robot introducing himself as Megatron, the Emperor of Destruction! The company president weakly points out that he's Megatron and is promptly called a fool by the intruder for thinking there's anything unusual about two people sharing a name. Recognizing the new Megatron, Waspinator chimes in to teach his Megatron who the newcomer is: created 9 million years ago as leader of the Decepticons, Megatron went on to be reborn as Galvatron, sealed in lava, frozen in ice, merged into Star Giant, and become a good guy before finally returning to being a bad guy.

Impressed that all this is on his resume, beast-Megatron assumes tank-Megatron has come to the Legends World to work for his company, but the newcomer clarifies that he's here to take all the world's energy for himself, starting with conquering the company. President Megatron refuses to surrender his title, however, so the other Megatron installs himself as chairman, a position above president. Beast-Megatron accepts this solution since he gets to keep on being president, realizing too late it means he's not in charge either way.

Some time later, President Megatron brings Chairman Megatron with him on a date with Blackarachnia. As the new Megatron loudly demands more energon wine, Blackarachnia asks her boyfriend who the new guy is, and he bashfully admits he's the new boss.

Continuity notes

• Megatron entered the Legends World in Vol. 23 of the online comic. Strangely, one of the Transformers who recognized him in that comic was Blackarachnia.
• Waspinator's story features various scenes from Megatron's history in Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity so far:
  • His creation at the hands of the Constructicons from "Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4".
  • His transformation into Galvatron from The Transformers: The Movie.
  • Galvatron being bathed in the lava pools of Thrull from "Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1".
  • Galvatron being buried under ice from "The Emperor of Destruction Vanishes on an Iceberg".
