The poem within the Light of the Forgefire became part of a reoccurring nightmare experienced by Pyra, which saw the poem recited by a monster. Sometime later, Pyra would learn that fellow Torchbearer Rust Dust's name was derived from the poem in the Light of the Forgefire. Further dreams led Pyra Magna to believe an aspect of the poem that described a world of rust referred to Antilla, prompting her to question the Mistress of Flame about the former Cybertronian colony. Notes

• The Light of the Forgefire's poem ties into the Optimus Prime story arc following Onyx Prime, Antilla, and the Dark Cybertron prophecy (whose text similarly refers to an apocalyptic event involving rust).
  • Of course, given what is revealed later on in the story, there are no coincidences - particularly when John Barber is involved.
• The passage is presumably reverse-engineered from the tampographs spread across the Torchbearers' toys in the Combiner Wars toyline, themselves pulled from the poem's original appearance in the Generation 1 cartoon episode "Cosmic Rust."
