Transformers New Legends (トランスフォーマー ニューレジェンズ Toransufōmā Nyū Rejenzu) is a 2026 TakaraTomy toyline.
The line is styled as a 10-plus years later nostalgia play after the fan-favorite (in Japan anyway) 2014-2019 Transformers Legends franchise, though whether New Legends will live up to the mammoth size of its namesake or maintain the more conservative scope of its immediate contemporaries like Dramatic Capture Series remains to be seen.
Fiction
The primary accompanying fiction for New Legends thus far is the continuation of End of G1 Universe, an online comic that had debuted way back in 2022 to promote the release of a single Masterpiece toy before lying dormant for years. Fittingly, End of G1 Universe is written and drawn by Hayato Sakamoto, lead creative of the original Transformers Legends comic, and continues his long run of connected stories across series like Legends, Unite Warriors and Generations Selects which dig into the minutiae of the Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity to connect dots and explain the unexplained.
Additionally, the day before the first new End of G1 Universe issue, TakaraTomy released a bonus one-page Sakamoto gag comic via social media, which checks back in with the chibi critter protagonists of the original Legends comic:
