- Lightlong is an Energy Beast from Wild King.
Lightlong (ライトロング Raitorongu) is an eternally curious resident of the planet Elementros. The first to meet Optimus Prime, Lightlong was able to awaken a power with the larger Transformer to face the threat of Megatron.
Possessing Lightning Energy that gives power over thunder, Lightlong is an Energy Beast that can undergo wildocking with an Energy Master.

Lightlong first encountered Optimus Prime while the latter was driving through a forest in vehicle mode, a form Lightlong was impressed he could assume. He was quickly informed about his mysterious friend's background: he wasn't native to Elementros, and was looking a friend... who turned out to be a hostile Megatron, who had performed Wildocking with Dinosaur Tribe Leader Captain Volca to form Flame Megatron On to Elementros! and attacked them both, Optimus barely deflecting a Flame Energy Shot that would have destroyed them both. After Optimus took a beating from Flame Megatron, Lightlong offered to undergo wildocking with him, which the Autobot Leader agreed to. Combined as Lightning Optimus, the duo sent Volca's henchman Leafback packing The Power of Bonds! Wildocking! and put up a strong fight against Flame Megatron, during which Lightlong told Optimus of a prophecy on the planet that a legendary hero would descend from the sky, and, wielding all 5 forms of elemental energy, wield a blade that would destroy all evil. Then Flame Megatron combined with Leafback into Flame-Grass Megatron, who's combined energy attack would have killed them both The Hero Who Descends from the Sky!, if not for Lightlong transforming in time to carry Optimus away.
Lightlong took Optimus to a nondescript cave on Elementros, home of his good friend Hydrophant. He learned from the elephant Energy Beast that Drillnohorn hadn’t been heard from in some time. Later, he and Optimus unintentionally caused Hydrophant to melt down by mishandling the conflict with the Dinosaur Tribe in a way that overwhelmed the sensitive elephant. Hydrophant fled the cave, and they gave chase, eventually encountering the mysterious Spirituan of the Dinosaur Tribe and Ignite Leo of the Animal Tribe. Lightlong was puzzled by their unexpected alliance. The Kindhearted Hydrophant He tried to convince Ignite Leo to stop attacking them as Optimus wasn't evil, but his pleas fell on deaf ears and he was easily knocked down. He Wildocked to Optimus once more in an attempt to turn the tide of battle. However, Optimus's limited understanding of Elemental Energy allowed Spirituan to deflect their lightning attack with a rock wall. The two would likely have been defeated if not for Hydrophant’s timely intervention and the extra power he provided by Wildocking with them to form Lightning Aqua Optimus. - Part of the first wave of TakaraTomy's Wild King product, Lightlong transforms into a robotic giraffe. A portion of his beast mode back detaches to form a pickaxe-like melee weapon. He also has an electric-themed "Lightning Energy" breastplate, which can be detached and reattached to one of the four ports on the chest of the Energy Master torso, forming part of a large elemental "X".
- He can also transform into an arm or a leg extension for any Energy Master toy.
- He shares several "core" parts with other Energy Beasts: he has the same torso and thighs as the other three in the wave, shares biceps with Captain Volca, and shares his axe with Drillnohorn.

- Part of the first wave of TakaraTomy's Wild King W product, Lightlong (Flame ver.) is a redeco of his original toy, still transforming into a robotic giraffe and retaining all of the original toy's functionality.
- But as the new name indicates, he's now in a fire-themed predominantly-red deco, and now comes with a "Flame Energy" breastplate instead of the original's "Lightning Energy" breastplate.
Notes
- "Lightlong" (ライトロング) is a pun on "lightning" (ライトニング), the Elemental Energy he carries. In the cartoon, he often uses the first syllable as a verbal tic when he talks.
