An earthquake causes a fissure in the ground, which Bumblebee falls into, while Laserbeak arrives and takes Spike. [[Hound (G1)|Hound]], [[Bluestreak]], and [[Windcharger]] arrive, rescuing Bumblebee and Spike. Returning to the [[Ark (G1)|Autobot base]], the Autobots send the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobot]]s to try and prevent as much destruction as possible.

[[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]] manages to cover the lava with an avalanche. Meanwhile, Prime learns that Sparkplug was taken to Cybertron during Energon shipments. Spike overhears it, and asks to go to Cybertron. [[Jetfire (G1)|Skyfire]], [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]], [[Brawn]], [[Trailbreaker]], and Bumblebee head to Cybertron, where they try to find any information on the humans. Sneaking into [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]]'s fortress, they discover information about the hypnochips, but Sparkplug arrives and sounds an alarm.

Technical/Animation Glitches

  • Spike didn't wear a helmet when he try to help Bumblebee climb up the edge. However, he wore a helmet just before he was captured by Laserbeak.
  • Grimlock's head is the old design when he just show up with other Dinobots, but his head became new design when he was talking to Optimus Prime and Wheeljack.
  • On Cybertron, the font in which the words "Hypno Chip Control" are written changes between shots.
