Prior to the Ark's launch, Claw was assigned to Fort Scyk. When he and his unit were sent to attack a Neutralist holdout in the nearby town of Yuss, they were ambushed by an Autobot infiltration unit. Claw was the first casualty after Sunstreaker blew his head off.
Sunstreaker's direct attack proved to be a feint. His teammates used the confusion caused by Claw's death to attack the other Decepticons from behind. The Magnificent Six!
