Shrapnel is a <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Jungle_Planet" title="Jungle Planet">Jungle Planet</a> native in the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Cybertron_%28franchise%29" title="Cybertron (franchise)">Cybertron</a> portion of the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Unicron_Trilogy" title="Unicron Trilogy">Unicron Trilogy</a> <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Continuity_family" title="Continuity family">continuity family</a>.

</div> A resident of the <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Jungle_Planet" title="Jungle Planet">Jungle Planet</a>, Shrapnel served as a bodyguard to that world's ruler, <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Scourge_%28Cybertron%29" title="Scourge (Cybertron)">Scourge</a>, when Scourge's reign was just beginning. A reliable fellow who never spoke an ill word about anyone, he lost this job thanks to the devious tactics of <a href="http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Undermine" title="Undermine">Undermine</a>.

When Undermine fabricated an audio message of Shrapnel calling Scourge a "smoke-ring blowing sissy," the dictator angrily dismissed Shrapnel from his service, and Undermine assumed his former position.<sup id="cite_ref-0" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-0" title="">[1]</a></sup>
