The Zarak Shield is the ultimate weapon of Decepticon Headmaster leader Scorponok, created specifically to counter the power of Fortress Maximus's Master Sword.
Fiction
The Headmasters animated series
With his weak spot having been exposed, forcing him to retreat from Earth, I Risk My Life for Earth Scorponok returned to planet Master in order to exploit it's super-science to create a weapon to protect him. While burrowing beneath the surface of the planet, his Transtectors sensors detected the ore necessary to create the super-durable G-Metal, but even this on its own would not be enough to stand up to the Master Sword. He proceeded to have Sixshot capture one of the scientists who had worked on the sword's construction, Jack, and torture him for information, but when that failed, he kidnapped Wheelie and ransomed him off for the sword's secrets. The Master Sword Is in Danger!! With this information now in his hands, Scorponok was able to create the Zarak Shield, which proved powerful enough to deflect the Master Sword when they first met in combat.
