Dominator discs are Transformer technology from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Autobots invented and used dominator discs to override a Transformer's circuitry and bring them under the command of another being. This, uh... doesn't sound very heroic, but we totally swear that it is.


Fiction

Generation 1 cartoon

The Autobots made use of the discs and tagged them covertly to the Constructicons which would have allowed them to control them once they merged into Devastator. Megatron would counteract the technology with an electronic disruptor bringing the combined Transformer back into Decepticon control. The Core
