The name or term "Shockwave" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Shockwave (disambiguation).
Shockwave is a Decepticon from the TransTech continuity.
Cuts people open. For SCIENCE!

Shockwave is a morally ambiguous being who works in the Menacing and Foreboding Sciences Division of the Axiom Nexus military. He's backed up by an army of completely silent soldiers. He's a very serious-minded figure who dissects people for the greater good, under the command of Megatron.

Megatron first enlisted Shockwave as a prisoner of war, after the defeat of Shockwave's former master, Jhiaxus, in the aftermath of the "Liege Maximo incident." During these early years, Shockwave singlehandedly forged Cybertronian technological advances, but darkly. It was for these war crimes that Shockwave was almost executed, if Megatron had not interceded. Though decidedly amoral, Shockwave and his talents could be extremely useful if directed properly. [1]

He never wants to speak of his traumautic encounter with the Transformers Animated cast again.
