The Decepticons discover that Oil Valley contains oil, and plan to steal the Oil Valley oil of oil-rich Oil Valley!
Synopsis
At Decepticon Headquarters, Galvatron is restless. He informs Starscream that they need to find fuel.
Meanwhile, Hot Rod is out for a drive with Daniel. They observe a mass of oil drills at Oil Valley. But the Decepticons have found it too. As Hot Rod races off to warn the Autobots, Galvatron spots him.
Hot Rod escapes and meets up with Grimlock and the Dinobots outside of Autobot City. Grimlock goes to battle the Decepticons while Hot Rod goes for help. The Dinobots fight the Decepticons, who are still in hot pursuit of Hot Rod.
Hot Rod finds Ultra Magnus, who leads a squad to help out the Dinobots. The Autobots arrive just as the battle is turning against the outnumbered Dinobots. The oil field workers climb out of the valley to find out what's going on.
As the battle turns against the Decepticons, Galvatron sneaks off to the unguarded oil field to steal all the oil while everyone is distracted. Grimlock sees him and follows. Grimlock tears off an oil derrick rigging and gives Galvatron a thorough smackdown with it, prompting Galvatron to retreat aboard his ship, Cyclonus.
The oil workers cheer as the victorious Autobots return home.

Notes
- This is one of many secondary stories that came out around the time of The Transformers: The Movie and incorporate many of its characters, but in ways that are incongruous with the events of the movie itself. For example, several of the Movie's casualties are here alive and well; most notably, Starscream is hanging around with Galvatron.
- No character model oddities in this one, but some of the Autobots' car modes look kinda funny. Hot Rod's spoiler seems to be slipping down his back on one page, while another page features a car that looks like Bluestreak wearing Hot Rod's spoiler and Cliffjumper's fenders. Some of the characters do appear to be copied directly from their model, most notably Galvatron.
