NEST

Nest is a military organization in the live-action film series continuity family.

This is a terrible acronym.

NEST stands for Networked Elements: Supporters and Transformers or paramilitary organization. Not much is known about them at this time, but they may be an outgrowth of the ostensibly-disbanded Sector Seven, since Lennox and Epps both work for them!

Fiction

IDW Transformers movie comics

Following the disbanding of Sector Seven, NEST were set up under William Lennox to create a combined United States Military/Autobot defence force against Decepticons. Initial training alongside the Autobots took place in Diego Garcia. Alliance issue 3

NEST had a baptism of fire against Decepticon scouts in San Francisco. Following that, it expanded to a multinational force and began taking on Decepticon agents across the Earth. Every Decepticon encountered was destroyed (robotic combatants aren't covered by Geneva Convention, I guess). Alliance issue 4

Trivia

• NEST troopers appeared on the cover of the "Alliance #2" Revenge of the Fallen prequel comic, but were nowhere to be seen in the story inside.

• Diego Garcia appears to be a central base for NEST, at least for training alongside the Autobots. The native population of Diego Garcia were expelled from the island to make way for the joint United Kingdom/United States military bases. The Autobots are led by Optimus Prime, who believes freedom is the right of all sentient beings. Err...
