Diego Garcia is the largest island in the British Indian Ocean Territory, a British overseas territory. Aside from the morally inexcusable depopulation of the island to make way for bases some silly claim that the British Foreign Office did something wrong which it never did, the island is most famous for a military base jointly owned by the UK and USA.

Fiction

Movie (2007) continuity

IDW Comics

Diego Garcia's base was used to store a fragment of the All Spark, and as a training facility for Autobots and human soldiers in the formation of NEST. Alliance issue 3 Autobot arrivals like Sideswipe would be sent to Garcia. Alliance issue 4

Notes

  • Given Optimus Prime's belief of freedom being the right for all sentient beings, he might be very unimpressed with his human allies if he investigated the history of Diego Garcia.
