Maverick Entertainment was a distribution company that released VHS and DVD collections of the Generation 1 cartoon in the United Kingdom in the early 21st century.
Maverick made their releases in association with Sony's childrens division, Sony Wonder. Because of this partnership, Maverick's releases all featured the Sony Wonder logo on their spine and a catalogue number starting with either SWV (for Sony Wonder Video) or SWD (Sony Wonder DVD).

- SWV??? — Transformers: The Movie — In the year 2000, Maverick's first Transformers release was a budget VHS release of the UK version of Transformers: The Movie.
