- Fusion is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Fusion is a dedicated and selfless soldier, willing to make any sacrifice to protect his friends or the success of a mission. He is a notably gifted marksman, and enjoys testing his skills against those of his friends Bluestreak and Ricochet.[1] His vehicle mode, designed for combat, is not particularly fast.
Fiction
Marvel UK comics continuity
Millions of years ago on Cybertron, Fusion was assigned to escort Bluestreak on a mission to deliver shatter bombs to the Autobot military commander Optimus Prime. Ignoring his own safety, Fusion focused on picking off the Decepticon jets which were hounding his partner. A blast from one of these Decepticons killed Fusion, but Bluestreak was able to complete the mission thanks to his friend's efforts. And There Shall Come...A Leader!
Trivia
- The story "And There Shall Come...A Leader!" lifted designs and even art from the first issue of the comic, apparently to maintain a consistent look for Cybertron. This may explain why Fusion is a straight redeco of Optimus Prime's Cybertronic vehicle mode.
