- Piston is an Autobot from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Piston is a member of Blurr's pit team, though his hard work is often overlooked by his supercilious boss who prefers to hang out with other racers. Despite the fact that Blurr can't even remember his name (which might be a good thing, seeing how it's an anatomical euphemism), Piston remains cheerful and upbeat.
Fiction
IDW comics continuity
Piston and his colleagues helped Blurr to the top of every championship of the Cybertronian races, though they received little credit when Blurr celebrated without them at The Circle. Shortly afterwards, the racetrack was destroyed and Zeta Prime called an end to the races, so Piston signed up to join the Autobots. He tried to persuade Blurr to come with him, but the racer was more interested in partying.
