... his eyes are black, soulless pits!

Dan Reed is an American artist who worked on the Marvel UK Transformers comic book series while living in France (convoluted!). Perhaps the most unconventional artist to work on the series, Reed was known for his "wobbly" Transformers, rendered in an organic style that was either loved or despised by readers.

RAWRRRR.

His first strip work was issue 115's Burning Sky!. Story arcs either partially or entirely illustrated by Reed include The Legacy of Unicron!, City of Fear!, Space Pirates! and Time Wars.

He was also the first "UK" artist to work on the US comic, beating out both Geoff Senior and Andrew Wildman by doing the cover of issue #56.
