:With regards to the contradictions of Ironhide's feelings - just because Ironhide hated Prime, doesn't mean that he wouldn't die for him - he would probably be forced to under any other leader. And the bit about them being in the same unit - this is a bit of a muddle, but the process of him becoming a Prime could have wiped his memory or made it fuzzy.
