Comparing the comic character to the legends toy, it's clearly him so how about adding some info/scans from the comics?
Picture?
I have a picture of movie Jetfire from a recent Bay-released clip. Should I upload it or hold off on it? --75.181.157.99 10:49, 18 April 2009 (EDT)
- Yeah, I'd also like to know if we can go ahead. TFW2005 has some images. I'm not advocating a whole upload, just a few face shots. Anyone? Walky? Sipher? Buller? -- SFH 13:55, 18 April 2009 (EDT)
- I can't imagine there would be a problem with this. It was an official info release from Michael Bay. --Thylacine 2000 14:01, 18 April 2009 (EDT)
NOBODY MOVE pic
a reference to Pirates of the Carribean, right? luv that movie —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.158.184.230 (talk • contribs) 20:09, 16 May 2009.
Legends Cane
I just got Legends Jetfire and the cane can totally touch the ground, you just have to position his legs like he is hunched over, which I assume was the intent.
- I'll change it. Some anon editor wrote it (barely in english). Since I don't have the toy, I merely cleaned it up. --FFN 17:34, 8 June 2009 (EDT)
- It can't touch the ground unless you have him fallen over.--86.87.28.191 08:05, 29 July 2009 (EDT)
Accent
I totally heard it as Australian. Anyone else want to weigh in? --Monzo 05:28, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- I'm not good with Accents, but he did sound something like that. Amusingly, in the Cybertron line, Jetfire also had an Australian accent, worth to note?--Sunjumper 05:35, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- I thought it was a light Scottish! --abates 05:56, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- I just heard English. I'm assuming Mark Ryan wasn't affecting an accent - he is English, and when he's done real voice-work for Bumblebee (that one line in the first movie, Beginnings), he's just done an English accent too. - Chris McFeely 06:20, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- I've heard someone mentioned Cockney at the IDW boards or the Allspark. That, and it was either Nick Roche or Liam Shalloo complaining about the accent in their posts about the film at both respective board's ROTF discussion thread (Nick would know). I know it's a type of English accent, but I'm not trusting myself to pin it down on which one, considering Jetfire uses "Bollocks." --Lonegamer78 07:05, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- Can't we state it's a generic British accent? Dead Metal 07:26, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- If that's supposed to be Australian then I am clearly speaking in the wrong accent. --FFN 07:36, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- Drivaar (Kris Carter) is the one I'm thinking of as the one who mentioned Cockney, as in "Cockney insanity of Jetfire" in his post at IDW. --Lonegamer78 09:37, 24 June 2009 (EDT)
- Sounds Yorkshire to me. Definitely up north (which is, ironically, south of me). His voice actor's from there, at any rate. 82.41.72.10 14:17, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- Admittedly I've only heard him via YouTube, but as a Northern Englishman who used to live in Scotland, it really, really sounds Scottish to me. It's a different accent to Mark Ryan's, for sure, but it's definitely a pretty specific accent, and certainly can't be called "generic". - Muddtallica 15:49, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- Speaking purely as an "ignorant American" who happens to like listening to foreign accents, Jetfire sounded to me like a reasonable attempt at a grizzled Scottish highlander—still a far cry from William Wallace (whom I believe most Americans know from his portrayal by a transplanted Australian anyway), but resonating enough with that type of character to be passable. Even if he doesn't sound properly Scottish, he certainly didn't sound Cockney to me.--Apcog 19:50, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- I think Drivaar meant "Cockney" as more in attitude than in accent. --Lonegamer78 20:35, 30 June 2009 (EDT)
- Could be, but Jetfire still didn't strike me as such. Then again, I may not be in a position to judge what is a genuine "Cockney attitude".--Apcog 21:30, 30 June 2009 (EDT)

Wasn't there a huge big accent/race debate on here a while back? Somebody had a linguistics friend too, IIRC Drmick 13:45, 1 July 2009 (EDT)
- I just remembered that it was Pacifist Prime vs everyone else. I somewhat optimistically tried Google cache there, but no joy. Drmick 06:48, 4 July 2009 (EDT)
Alt mode
When exactly did Jetfire obtain his alternate mode? We don't really know when he became "dormant".
Inclusion of novel only info in the film section
The stuff with Ransack only occurs in the novel. Which is an adaptation based on an early script. Which has PLENTY of things that don't match up with the film. We use the italic approach on the Marvel UK and Animated comics because those are intended to compliment the main source (seris/us). But something that only occurs in an adaptation of an early script shouldn't be included in the main film article. For one, there's no point in the film that gives Ransack a chance to appear, for one, does this mean we need to go back to the other movie, and start doing the same for say, Jazz's article. Throw in "Megatron ripped him in half then ate his spark". It's confusing the issue. If the novel needs a mention on the page, I thought we'd established with the Alice article that it should be kept separate from what occurs in the film itself. User:Eire 17.38 Jul 16 09 (UTC)
- I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking that event happened on film. It clearly states it only happened in the novel. I just thought that flowed better. The reader can take it into account how he wants, but if you want to separated out, I'll fix it. - Starfield 12:50, 16 July 2009 (EDT)
Alt mode note/joke
I think it should be mentioned that he didn't scan another alt-mode in the movie yet he gets a high tech one whereas ransack gets a WWII fighter plane? 96.229.162.122 07:21, 30 July 2009 (EDT)
- It's a 1970 plane, as I remember, and he was in a museum.KrytenKoro 02:55, 31 July 2009 (EDT)
