The sinister figure of Ravage emerges from the waters around Scotland's Orkney Islands, a NEST forward operating location. Undetected, the beast is directed by Soundwave to locate Skids and Mudflap: Soundwave wants to know how much they know about the Fallen's plans and who they've told it to, and then he wants them dead!
In NEST's base, the twins are being bored to death by constant training exercises against drone units ("sim-com"). While they've been told by Ironhide that this is a trust-building exercise and meant to put them through their paces, they've got the sneaking suspicion that's just a story to keep them out of everyone else's way. They're not pleased when their instructor Sideswipe tells them there's still room for improvement and they've got to do it again, but when they protest they're not trainees he just bluntly reminds them they caused a Decepticon to escape. Having shut them up with that, Sideswipe tells them he thinks Ironhide should have charged them; instead, he gave them to him for training, and unless they want to get banged up they do what he says.
Sideswipe goes off to start the sim-com again, moaning about being stuck doing this work and deciding to put the drones on maximum setting... but Ravage has infiltrated the base and quickly takes him down! When the twins decide to investigate, wondering what all the noise is, they come under attack by the metal mogggy and quite sensibly run away. Ravage pursues, being led into an ambush where Skids brings the roof down on him... but the creature emerges unscathed! Pursued again, Mudflap suddenly hits on an idea...
Mudflap leads Ravage into the training room, where a broadcasted Soundwave demands he explains everything he knows in exchange for a quick death. Having none of this, the guy just has Skids trigger the trap: locking the door and starting up the combat simulation again! While Mudflap is honed to perfection and easily avoids the drones (not to mention having the proper limbs to use the ropes and trapeze), the surprised Ravage is quickly hemmed in and gunned down, howling in pain.
Victory to the Autobots! Except no, because Ravage merely faked unconsciousness until the twins left and then did a runner. Now there's no evidence to back up their claim to the recovered Sideswipe that mysterious, unknown Decepticons broke into a NEST base just to get to them. He believes they just got fed up of sim-com and decided to belt him one, and this is their cover story. As far as he's concerned, this and the Grindor business is evidence that there's something dodgy about them.
And Soundwave, listening in through a hidden bug, finds this turn of events quite interesting...

Errors
A hitherto unknown Decepticon did try to kill them when they arrived on Earth and someone is clearly ordering about the Earthen Decepticons, so why's Sideswipe so incredulous?
The twins are still refusing to talk to anyone who isn't Optimus. After the end of last issue, where they Learnt A Lesson, this makes little sense.
Notes
Another NEST base outside of Diego Garcia is introduced, and the first not to be a US base.
Neither Ravage or Soundwave are known to the Autobots (or at least to the twins).
The Autobots use live rounds in their training drones. Dude.
This is the first example of Sideswipe acting as Combat Instructor, his stated role in his Battle Bio.
Considering what Bumblebee did to him in the film, Ravage is surprisingly tough here.

Errors
Where to begin with Quarter Past Megatron:
It uses the cover date for the first Marvel comic rather than the actual release, giving the impression the cartoon came first. It also gets the launch date for the Beast Wars toyline and cartoon wrong.
The 80s cartoon is said to have opened with a five part story instead of three part.
The Dreamwave and IDW comics are down as "2002–2005", which gives the impression they stopped then.
Those comics are the only thing mentioned as happening after Beast Wars and before the first film; eight years of franchises and fictions are ignored. (Ignoring Energon may not be a bad thing though)
The DIY card is on the opposite page of Quarter Past, so you have to sacrifice half of that feature to make the card.
Law and Disorder promises you can win Starscream's Star Letter prize, even though he's not the host anymore.
Notes
The cover shown in #3's Next Issue is entirely absent. Worse, the new cover works more for last issue's story!
Ironhide is a big fan of the game's multiplayer function, and wants you all to try it out!
The title is no longer registered with ABC, who compile circulation data, and so no longer shows sales figures. Whether this is because it's in Vol.2 now or if there's another reason is not known.
