The premise of the series was generated editorially. Nick Roche asked to do art for the series, only finding out later that he would also be writing the series. James Roberts will co-write the series with Roche from issue 2 onward.[1] IDW specifically chose UK-based creators who would be more familiar with the Wreckers' history.[citation needed] The prolific Josh Burcham provides the colors.
