Soundblaster is a Planet X Decepticon from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy.

Soundblaster wears the badge of the Decepticons, but his allegiance is to Planet X and its goals. He serenades his victims with music before destroying them. He is partnered with the Mini-Con Hell Buzzsaw.

(Note: Soundblaster's status as a separate character from Soundwave is debatable, as there is no official biographical information on him whatsoever at this time, only a quote on his box. However, his being a new character can be extrapolated from Takara's naming conventions; in the overwhelming majority of cases, recurring toy-characters only undergo a name change upon receiving a new bodyform, while same-mold redecos typically -but not always- only receive a modifier on top of their old name. The only known exceptions to this pattern in twenty years of Japanese Transformers are Twincast and Soundblaster from Headmasters in Generation 1 (who were actually retooled from the orignal versions) and Master Megatron from the Japanese version of Cybertron, who became Master Galvatron despite his upgrade being only a redeco of his previous toy.)

Cybertron

Soundblaster is a redeco of the Cybertron Soundwave toy, transforming into a Cybertronic stealth bomber. He comes with three hexagonal prism "bombs"; one converts into his Mini-Con partner Hell Buzzsaw, the other two unfold into non-firing blaster weapons. Any one of these "bombs" can be stored in his robot-mode chest, which opens by plugging a Cyber Planet Key into him. The other two store in indents on the underside of his wings. He comes with a silver-bordered Planet X style Cyber Planet Key.

He was only available as an exclusive to Takara's "Toys Dream Project" series.
