Transformer music

Like many cultures, Transformers make music to express themselves. (The Decepticon Squawkbox, for instance, is a passionate musician.) However, very few of these alien songs have ever been recorded or played for human ears.

Generation 1 animated continuity

Starscream has the Constructicons play a fanfare on brass instruments for his coronation. After a while, he gets sick of it and shoots the trumpets. The Transformers: The Movie

Hardhead enjoys karaoke after just a few drinks of energon. The Shadow Emperor, Scorponok

Beast Wars cartoon

Rattrap mentions the existence of "cyber violins". Considering the (although sarcastic) context, it can be assumed to be an instrument to be played during events of mourning. Optimal Situation

Beast Wars II cartoon

The Jointrons have adopted a style of music akin to (a highly stereotyped version of) spanish music. It mostly involves shaking maracas, sometimes accompanied by classical guitar, all the while yelling out Spanish nonsense. DJ is also said to be able to use his Seven-Year Swords to produce music.

Devil's Due G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers continuity

At least in this continuity, Cybertron had a rich history of music. With his Matrix-granted powers, the former G.I. Joe commander Hawk had access to a database of at least 11 million traditional Cybertronian songs. One apparently has a line that goes: "Protoform/Protoform/What will you be?"

The Mini-Cons were revealed to project a strange, haunting melody amongst themselves. The exact effect of this varied.

The Transformers on the Speed Planet have a band that plays at official functions.

Transformers Animated

The earth song "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" is known even by Decepticon warriors.

Movie continuity

Grindcore enjoyed listening to Shock Pop, a type of Cybertronian music, while living in Vos.

Ironhide, presumably before the war, enjoyed many types of music back on Cybertron.
