Conductors are power sources in the Generation 1 continuity family.

Conductors are glowing rod-shaped power sources used by Transformers.

Wheeljack and Bumblebee stole four conductors from the Decepticons, though Wheeljack believed that they wouldn't last a quartex. Nonetheless, energy was desperately short on Cybertron, and the pair carried them back to Iacon with all haste, managing to avoid getting offlined by the Decepticon Seekers on the way.
