As fictional character within the fiction, he belongs in the Earth culture category, and not in Humans or Scientists, which are for "real" characters

It's still a disservice to remove him from those categories. He's still a human and a scientist even if he is fictionial within a fictional universe.

Frankenstein is a character in a movie from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

While Spike recovered from a serious operation, one that left his mind in the body of Autobot X, he watched a movie on Teletraan I. The movie featured one Dr. Frankenstein's attempt to create life. Though a hunched creature warned him that he was creating a monster who would destroy them all, the good doctor chose to proceed with his attempt.
