Revenge of the Fallen novel
When Sam dropped the shard, it burns through the floor and falls in the kitchen. Then all his kitchen stuff turns alive, the phone rings non-stop than an annoyed robot put him in his microwave chest and basically blew up the phone. That phone had too many minutes on it anyways.
