Quantum Laboratories consists of an enclave of brilliant scientists, who develop various revolutionary pieces of technology, including the computer intelligence TORQ III, the most powerful computer on Earth. The work that goes on there is top secret and carefully guarded, but not carefully enough.
Fiction
Generation 1 cartoon
Megatron and Soundwave infiltrated the lab, reprogramming TORQ III to follow the Decepticon cause, with the aid of hijacking all of the world's oil tankers. Doctor Paul Gates, locked in his office by the computer, was able to send a distress call to the Autobots, alerting them to the problem.
