Special Teams is a collective name given to the four groups of Scramble City combiners released after the Constructicons:
The term was employed predominantly in the Marvel UK Comics, beginning in the story "Second Generation!". (An ad in the UK comics for the Special Teams called them the "New Teams.") The term was never used in the US Marvel Comic, but was used in Dreamwave's Dark Ages series and in DK's Transformers: The Ultimate Guide.
In the 2008 Universe toyline, a five-pack of Legends figures named "Special Team Leaders" was released, featuring tiny versions of Hot Spot (Hot Zone), Scattershot, Razorclaw, Hun-Gurrr, and Silverbolt. This is the first time the Technobots, Terrorcons, and the Predacons had been named Special Teams.
