- Scattorshot transforms into an anti-aircraft vehicle resembling a futuristic pick-up truck retrofitted for heavy combat, with armaments such as roof-mounted cannons, armor plating and a grated plow. There are many elements on the toy that are a homage to Scattorshot’s Cybertron counterpart, including the dual roof-mounted cannons, predominantly dark blue and gray color scheme, black windows, yellow lights and front grill detailing. The plow plays homage to the front-mounted minesweeping claws on the Voyager Cybertron Defense version of Armada Scattorshot. In robot mode, the dual cannons become hand-held rifles instead of a firing back-mounted weapons pack as on the Armada version. The signature goggles are also missing on the ROTF version, with a bulbous helmet in its place. The only detailing reminiscent of the original in robot mode is chest detailing resembling the front of the vehicle mode, but split in half.
- There are two variations of Scattorshot available out there, one with light gray parts and one with darker gray parts. Judging by the photos on the blister package, the toy was originally made with dark gray parts, and a running change has made more recent versions of the toy with light gray parts.
