During a mission to place a sonic emitter in a precise location within caverns beneath the Maximal base, Waspinator got into a dispute with Blackarachnia and fled. Shortly thereafter he was located by Cheetor on sensors while "makin' the scene in Sector 19."
This was the third Predacon detected in that sector in three days, prompting Optimus Primal and Tigatron to investigate. There they found Waspinator flying in a circle, talking to himself. When Primal decided to "shake him up" to see where he'd run, Waspinator returned to the caverns. A Better Mousetrap
