I have not changed it yet because *maybe* I am mistaken, but the ROTF Megatron doesn't have three modes does it? I own the voyager version, and I am sure there is no official jet mode and the leader one is so inflexible you couldn't make up a third mode if you tried. :I think this is because in the ROTF movie, he apears to transform into his intergalactic jet-mode, wile he also transforms into a tank. It has nothing to do with the toys at least.--[[User:Sunjumper|Sunjumper]] 11:38, 31 March 2010 (EDT)

Should this really be in Fandom? Hasn't it always been an official term?--Octopus Prime- King of the Road! 23:05, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

I think it's in that category because fans use it for toys other than official Triple Changers which turn into three things. I think that's kinda of a debateable category choice, though. Fans think lots of stupid things.--ItsWalky 23:19, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Actually I had been making a handful of fandom-related pages and just forgot to remove it from the copied-pasted stuff. -Autobus Prime 12:29, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Umm.. IF I recall correctly Astrotrain and Blitzwing came out in '85. Might be wrong.

Astrotrain and Blitzwing were from 1985. If I recall Armada Laserbeak said Triple Changer on his box. As did several Cybertron redeco Mini-Cons with weapon modes (like Anti-Blaze, Prowl and Scythe). I think Cybertron Dark Scorponok and Cryo Scourge as well.

The toy catalogues list Metroplex, Trypticon, and Fortress Maximus with having three modes as opposed to others like the Scramble City leaders with unmentioned intermediate modes. There should really be some discussion what what makes a triple changer and what doesn't.

I think in terms of this article, it's just about the direct official use of the term 'Triple Changer', even if it hasn't been applied to some three-mode characters. --Ratbat 11:23, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Seems ATB Megatron was a Triple Changer, according to a Hasbro pitch man. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFfW-95fghU&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eallspark%2Ecom%2Fforums%2Findex%2Ephp%3Fshowtopic%3D61309&feature=player_embedded 68.61.240.172 23:49, 3 August 2009 (EDT)

The translation show bible for Beast Wars Neo refers to guys like Big Convoy, Longrack, Coroda, Heinlad, Break and Stampy as "three-changing" (yes, Heinlad turns from robot to beast to statue!) Is "three-changing" a Triple Changer? Should it at least get mentioned? 68.61.240.172 12:17, 14 September 2009 (EDT)

More G1 Scorponok proof

In the commercial for Scorponok vs. the Technobots Galvatron himself refers to Scorponok as a "Headmaster Triple Changer base" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mc28D8K--o 68.61.240.172 10:00, 12 November 2009 (EST)

Not a Triple Changer!

I have not changed it yet because *maybe* I am mistaken, but the ROTF Megatron doesn't have three modes does it?
