==Personal Canon==
[[El Presidente]] is the former military ruler of [[Socialist Democratic Federated Republic of Carbombya|Carbombya]] and the father of [[Abdul Fakkadi (G1)|Abdul Fakkadi]]. He was deposed (somehow) and replaced by [[Prince Jumal]], the rightful heir to the throne. The Decepticons helped [[Ali (Sunbow)|Ali]] take over Carbombya as part of a larger plan. "[[Aerial Assault]]" takes place in Carbombya, during which Jumal is returned to power. Sometime between "Aerial Assault" and Season 3, Abdul Fakkadi takes over.
[[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] and [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]] are females, the [[Mini-Cassette|cassettes]] are their [[relatives|children]].
[[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] can retract his gun hand and replace it with a normal hand, he just prefers the gun hand.
==Continuities==
I think part of what keeps causing confusion/arguments over the Generation 1 continuity family is that we have officially segregated the "Beast Era" into its own "portion" without coming up with a portion name (or even multiple portion names) for the remainder. Some editors seem to see a significant difference between those franchises that were created pre-Beast Wars and those that were created post-Beast Wars (I have to admit that I'm one of them). Thus it seems odd to these people that Drift, a character that was created in a backwards looking reinvention, is treated no differently than Bumblebee, a character who was created as part of the forward growth of the brand.
