Somewhere, in the middle of a jungle on Earth is located the Fusion Building, the Predacon's genetic's lab. The techonolgy housed within allowed Megatron's forces to obtained beast modes based on Earth's most vicious creatures. It contains Predacon secrets, important enough for Megatron to rather see the lab itself be destroyed, rather then let Optimus Primal gain access to them.
Fiction
Optimus Primal vs Megatron!
Optimus Primal, Razorbeast and Cheetor were seeking the location of the Predacon's genetics lab when Optimus discovered it, his optical sensors capable of snesing the thermal emissions and fusion activity the location was giving off. Though it at first seemed unguarded, the "harmless earth creature" swimming around its moat turned out to be Megatron in his gator mode. Megatron summoned Tarantulas and Waspinator to fend off the Maximals, but when the Predacons began to weaken, Megatron activated the lab's self-destruct mechanism via remote control, obliterating the building.
