Scott receives a pair of Wolverine sandals at OTFCC 2004. The insanity of the gift is only matched by the insanity of the recipient.

Scott McNeil (September 15, 1962- ) is an Australian-born Canadian voice actor. Some of his most notable roles include Piccolo from the original English dub of Dragonball Z, Bonesteel from Ninja Turtles: the Next Mutation, Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe: Sgt. Savage and his Screaming Eagles, Hohenheim of Light from Fullmetal Alchemist, Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing, Wolverine from X-Men Evolution, Ace the Bat-Hound from Krypto the Superdog, Ken Masters from Street Fighter, Proto Man and Dr. Wily in Mega Man, Koga from Inuyasha, Senor Hasbeena from Mucha Lucha and oh so many more.

He is an extremely prolific performer, an incredibly popular guest at Transformers and anime conventions, and is probably insane.

Scratch the "probably".

Voice roles

Beast Wars

Scott entertains an audience at Ohayocon 2004, probably with another story about Garry the big dumb munky.

Beast Wars Transmetals Video Game

Beast Machines

  • Rattrap
  • Silverbolt
  • Waspinator

Armada

Energon

Cybertron

McNeil didn't continue Jetfire into Cybertron. The producers reportedly wanted Jetfire to have a more 'Australian' voice instead of his usual, hence a new actor. Ironically, Scott McNeil was, in fact, born in Brisbane, Australia! Clearly, he was insufficiently Australian.

Trivia

Megatron watches in horror as Scott plays with his arms.
  • Scott looks vastly different at each of his convention appearances. This page only scratches the surface of his myriad looks.
  • He's often very friendly at conventions, and more than willing to do voices for fans (Even conversations between characters he voiced). He particularly likes fangirls.
  • For the interview in Madman Entertainment's Beast Wars DVDs, Scott came dressed in a foam Megatron costume.
  • In the 2003 animated version of Ben Hur, he was the voice of Jesus. When Scott gets arrested, Robert Foxworth denies him three times.
  • His first live action role was as Bonesteel in Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. Bonesteel was a big game hunter with a screw loose. Not that big of a stretch really.
  • In something of a blunder, during the BotCon 2010 Saturday night Transformers Hall of Fame ceremony, when Dinobot was revealed to be the fifth inductee into the Hall of Fame (as voted by fans), Scott was present for the night, but was not asked to get up on stage and speak about Dinobot winning. This was even though presumably both Hasbro and Fun Publications knew in advance that Dinobot had won the poll and that they could have coordinated for Scott to be involved with the ceremonies in some manner.
  • Seriously, he's clinically insane.
