The Badlands is a location on Cybertron from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Badlands is the region under domain of Kaon.[1] During the reign of Shokaract, the proud city-state was destroyed by his armies. The remaining ravaged infrastructure of the area hides a labyrinthine sub-city underneath, making the region an ideal refuge for those who oppose Shokaract's rule. Shokaract, in turn, uses it as training and proving ground for future Heralds.

The Cub searched the Badlands for his alpha target, the Veteran. Once found, they fought a savage battle that the Cub eventually lost. Because of the significance the Badlands thus held for them as the location of their first meeting, later, their two minds within Windrazor always chose to communicate within an imagination of the area.
