Fiction
Animated cartoon
Straxus was present at the final battle of the Great War, presumably leading some of Megatron's troops into defeat. However, he can't have done such a terrible job, seeing as he was later rewarded with governorship of one of the distant colonies of the re-vitalized Decepticon empire. Unless he shot someone in the back to get the job. Which he would probably do without batting an optic. If optics can be, uh, batted. The AllSpark Almanac Vol. 2
Notes
- Straxus' biographical data—as little as there is of it—is provided by Strika. When even Strika thinks that someone is a tyrant... hoo boy.
- Straxus was designed for Animated with the intent of having him appear in a flashback sequence in "TransWarped" that would have depicted the Battle for Iacon at the conclusion of the Great War. The scene, alas, was cut for time.
- Straxus obviously originates from the Marvel continuity's character of the same name. Interestingly, the character had not been used for over twenty years when, over the course of barely more than two years, he was used by IDW, considered for (and subsequently cut from) Transformers Animated and received his first-ever toy in the Generations line.
