This article is about the Japanese toyline. For the episode of Transformers: Cybertron, see United (episode).

Transformers United is a Japanese TakaraTomy toyline comprising redecos from Hasbro's Classics, Transformers (2010/2011), and Generations toylines. Much like TakaraTomy's release of the Transformers Animated toyline, some of these Japanese versions have glossy metallic paint jobs. As a continuation of a marketing strategy introduced during the 2007 live-action movie toyline, most of the characters retain their American names.

Notes

  • This series breaks with the convention of past "Generation 1"-based Japanese Transformers lines by not using the original Japanese names for the classic characters. It's no longer "Convoy", it's "Optimus Prime". You can thank the success of the live-action film series and Animated in Japan for that.
