Loafer is an Autobot from the Headmasters portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Lollygaggers.

Loafer is one of the Headmaster Warriors, the group of diminutive young robots training on the planet Master to become fully-fledged Headmasters. He’s, like, probably really lazy, or something.

Fiction

The Headmasters cartoon

Several robots using Loafer’s body design appeared as members of the resistance force formed to force the Decepticons off of planet Master, including a green version who thanked the Autobot Headmasters for their aid in a battle, Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2) and two grey and black versions that flanked Kirk when he met with Chromedome to plan strategy. Operation: Destroy the Decepticons

Given the lack of resemblance between the Kirk toy and cartoon model, it is unclear if any of these Loafer-based crowd-fillers is intended to be Loafer himself or not, afflicted with a similar case of color-blindness.

TV Magazine Super-God Masterforce prologue

Some time later, after the Decepticons had been forced off of Earth and a larger war began based around use of advanced technology from Planet Master, Chromedome and the other Headmasters took it upon themselves to train Loafer and the other Headmaster Warriors in the use of their powers.

Toys

Generation 1

Maybe he worked at a bakery before joining up?
  • Loafer (Headmaster Warrior, 1987)
Available exclusively in Japan, Loafer transforms from a red and black robot into a head, in which mode he can connect to any of the larger Headmaster toys. He goes for ludicrous sums of money on the secondary market, to say nothing of the super-rare, entirely white version of the figure which was only available in certain Japanese toy stores.
