- The Project Prime team is an Autobot subgroup from the Marvel comics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family
The Project Prime team is the squad of Autobots responsible for Project Prime, an attempt to construct a new body for the deceased Autobot leader Optimus Prime.

After acquiring the mind of Optimus Prime on a floppy disk, Fortress Maximus authorized the formation of the Project Prime team, dedicated to the resurrection of the legendary Autobot leader. They were able to successfully construct a body for the deceased legend, but at some point late in the process the body experienced a failure and exploded. When Fortress Maximus inquired as to their ability to try again, Highbrow informed him that they were out of materials to try with. Brainstorm had cautioned against such a possibility, but his concerns had been overridden. Totaled!
After Optimus was successfully resurrected on Nebulos, the team was presumably disbanded. People Power!
