A laser scalpel is a Transformer surgical tool. It emits a variable laser beam that can be adjusted to cut or heat materials.
It's also great for roasting wieners.
Fiction

Ratchet was fitted with a laser scalpel, which he could deploy into his palm or retract into his inner wrist. While it could be used offensively if needed, it was not powerful enough to even scratch Megatron's armor. Perhaps Decepticon surgeons start with a can opener? Warrior School!
In vehicle mode, Ratchet's laser scalpel was screwed to the wall of his rear compartment. Unfortunately, the screws were not tamper-proof. Funeral for a Friend!
The laser scalpel's career highlight may have occurred when it was used to take down the battle droid Guardian, with perhaps just a little help from Ratchet. The Wrath of Guardian!
