Animated Sideswipe is a re-deco of Animated Breakdown, itself a retool Animated Rodimus Prime. He is colored as an homage to G2 Sideswipe, with a predominantly black color scheme, and the letters, "SS", on his doors in Cybertronix. Sideswipe has a panel on his car hood/chest that allows you to switch between an Autobot sigil and an engine block. He comes with a cross-bow type accessory that fires two projectiles.
This mold was originally used for Animated Rodimus Prime, and that mold was retooled into Breakdown. Sideswipe was limited to 1500 pieces and sold in a set with Toxitron.
Notes
- Sideswipe is seen in the "The Great War" boardgame in the Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II. If an Autobot player lands on his spot, he gets 1000 Victory Points.
- Like a lot of the random incidentals in The AllSpark Almanac II, Sideswipe's head is designed by Bill Forster.
